Wow! This was really easy and inexpensive! I used white card stock and the felt hearts are from the Christmas Clearance at Target. Ladies.... the hearts where 10cents for the pack of three!! I also bought felt trees too and will use them for Christmas Cards....I like to think ahead!
The felt hearts were applied with glue dots on paper also found at Target in the Dollar spot! I then embellished with rhinestones and a brad! I just love it when I get a bargain and can still create a cute card! I put together 20 cards for less than $4.00! Love to all and happy card making! Thanks for looking!

Valentine Blues

Who said a Valentine has to be pink or red? You could use pinks and reds but I've got so many scraps that I wanted to use so I thought...why not? It's time to use what I've got and make room for more goodies with the Sale-A-Bration promotion going on!

I used So Saffron and Night of Navy paper, and light blue were embossed with the Square Lattice folder and then layered on Whisper White. Heart to Heart Punch & the Triple Blossoms Bouquet along with the Tim Holtz Flower Die embellish the card. So don't be sad, just use the blues for a really cute Valentine!

Mickey Mouse Birthday Party Invite for Mason!

Mason Loves "Hot Dog, Hot Dog, Hot Diggity Dog!" from Mickey's Clubhouse Cartoon! He will dance and move those little hands to the music! So....... it's fitting to celebrate his First Birthday with a Mickey Mouse Theme and these invites are adorable! The white side will contain the information about the party. Winter Snowflake!

I missed the deadline for entering this in a challenge but still wanted to share it!
Since we had over a foot of snow and many school closings, I thought a snowflake card would be cute to create! I used the Trendy Trees Stamp Set, cut them out and arranged them in a snowflake pattern. I then punched out the sparkly snowflake and layered it on top and bedazzled it with a blue rhinestone. I couldn't wait to use the "Let it Snow" from the Punch Pals set! The Well Worn Designer Paper was a perfect choice for the backround and worked with with the Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy! Hope you like it !

Take advantage of winter and enjoy the snow! I know, I know, I'm not a fan of winter but my grandsons are. We've got a nice size hill by our house and the boys love to come over and snowboard and play! So naturally, grandma had to capture the action! I used Basic Black and Tangerine Tango paper to mount the photos. I then used the 1 inch circle punch and black letters for the phrase. Enjoy the layout!

In a hurry and need to scrapbook some photos! Do a collage. This works great if you just can't choose one or two pictures. Just arrange the photoss - you may have to crop here an there and embellish with some letters and you are done!

These pics were arranged on Stampin' Up's Pretty in Pink 12 x 12 paper # 119938. The stickers are from Target's Dollar Spot. The Oval was cut with a Creative Memories Oval & Circle cutter set.

Basic and Beautiful. My Go-to stamp set hands down is Baroque Motifs! You could stamp any phrase in the bottom corner....Happy Birthday, Best Wishes, Happy Anniversary, Get Well, and well, you get it! I used Whisper White and Basic Grey Paper along with Basic Grey Ink. Christmas Card!

I spotted a variation of this card at: mikkiscreativecorner.blogspot.com and liked it but I had to change it up a little. Mikki Sarkisyan is a fantastic stamper and I visit her blog for ideas.

I first started by embossing the ornament but that made the color too dark so I just stamped it with Bashful Blue and added a Rhinestone and some of Martha Stewarts White Gold Glitter. I think I'll makd some of the ornaments in Real Red too...still experimenting! The backround is Pretty in Pink and the Designer Paper - Letters to Santa- Wow...this paper is also great for scrapbooking....glad I bought two packs! All were layered and I used the Eyelet Border for the sides. The Glitter Paper is 1/2 price at Hobby Lobby this week and only cost $1.00 per sheet! Every little bit helps! Merry Christmas was stamped in Soft Suede and then punched out with the Word Window Punch and applied to a glittery Modern Label! A bow was then tied at the top with the Organza Ribbon! Love it! There is nothing better than a gift with a homemade tag attached. This snowflake is punched out along with the scalloped circles and then put together with a rhinestone brad. Super easy and fun!

Here is a fun card to create! I used Wild Wasabi paper and layered one inch strips of Designer Paper on Rose Red. The Scallop Dots Ribbon color is Melon Mambo and it matches perfectly!
Flowers were created by the Triple Layer Blossom Bouquet Punch. I was apprehensive about this punch but so glad I bought it! I made about four of these cards and stamped Get Well Soon on some of them along with Thinking of you! Enjoy and Thanks for looking!

Christmas will be here soon! Only 40 more shopping days left! I better get busy and start making some Christmas cards and the Pals Paper Arts Challenge helped me get going! This card is layered on Real Read and Whisper White. My grandkids picked the colorful Christmas paper and it worked out quite well. I embellished by using the Tag Punches. I then used the Big Shot to add the letters J - O - Y!
I thought it needed something else and then used the Snowflake punch to add the snowflake. Basic Rhinestones were also added. Thanks for looking!

Baby Shower Treats!

The Baby Shower Theme - A Little Prince is Due! Yes, our niece is having a boy....after three beautiful girls, he is due to arrive in January and we are all very excited and have to celebrate! The little box contains candy and was done on the Big Shot. Each attendee will receive some Hot Chocolate mix. I poured the mix into Wilton's Cone bags for cake icing and topped them off with mini marshmellows! I then embellished the bags with ribbon & stamped a crown from Stampin' Up's Artistic Etchings. Punches were used and then I attached them to the bags! Fun, easy and really cute!

Kim Osmanski, also a Stampin' Up Demo and my Upline created these cute Centerpieces! She used the same stamp and enlarged it on a copier! She wrapped up the Ball Jars in Boy Themed Wrapping Paper. They also contained suckers that the kids got to take home and enjoy! These centerpieces were fabulous! Thanks Kim!!

I cut the flower and leaf from the Beyond the Garden Designer Paper and layered other prints from that same pack on Melon Mambo and Wild Wasabi! I stamped Birthday Wishes and then punched it out. Oh My Goodness! Anna had her pictures done at Target and toward the end, she was sick and tired of posing and the end result...... well, the photographer captured this pose and I just had to
get that in the scrapbook ASAP! She's two years old, very verbal and when she's done, she's done!

Ghosts, Goblins and Spiders, Oh My! Halloween is right around the corner and I had to get in the craft room and start creating so I can send these out before Halloween! I didn't have a stamp for the saying so I printed them off of the computer and cut it to fit the Basic Black paper. The spider is a Martha Stewart Punch and it was applied to a web that I bought at a local craft store. The web and spider are then applied to the floret that is a Tim Holtz Die from the Sizzix Website. The Pumpkin Pie paper was embossed with the Spider Web Embossing Folder and sponged with Whisper White. Happy Halloween from our Web to yours!

PPA115 - Autumn is in the air and we are surrounded by beautiful fall colors. I used a couple of stamp sets- Autumn Days and Autumn Splendor. The combination of Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Very Vanilla and More Mustard also look great together. I used a splash of Cherry Cobbler too! Stampin' Up's Well Worn Designer Paper is just lovely- reminds me of Fall with the warm colors! Take time to look at the beautiful colors in the trees! They are lovely!

This card was created at Stamp Camp with KimOsmanski- she is my upline. The embelishment was done on the Big Shot with the Tim Holtz flower die and then layered with the Boho Blossoms punch. The Hand Penned Holidays is also a must! This stamp set is so nice- with our modern age of typing and texting, it's nice to see some cursive writing again! Yes, I'm a little old and old fashioned! Stampin' Up has some sweet deals for October and it inspired me to create a cupcake card! Along with the fact that the die was on clearance for $3.99 on the Sizzix Website in the Outlet Section! Isn't it cute? I'm going to use this for scrapbooking too. The bottom of the cupcake was sent through a crimper to make it look like the paper holders for the cupcake! Thanks for looking!

Oh, I was a naughty grandma....one night when Anna was over, we had ice cream for dinner. I knew it was wrong, but that's what I was hungry for! Anna didn't mind either! PPA112 -My cousin's daughter was recently engaged and I wanted to congratulate her with a cute card. The Lace Border Punch is so easy to use and I wanted it to look like a " lace garter" ....not sure if that worked but I still love the punch! It's so versatile! I used Whisper White and Basic Black Paper and the Bright Yellow is no longer available but you could use any yellow or even a gold glittery paper would work. The rings from Jolee's Boutique were on clearance and I bought plenty to use for scrapbooking too! Hope you like it and thanks for looking!

Camp Out with Grandpa!

Boys are so much fun and thank goodness my hubby loves the outdoors because when our three older grandkids spend the night, they like to have fun outdoors too! They had somemores around the campfire along with Jiffy Pop Popcorn. Jeff turns the patio porch into the sleeping area so they are still under the stars, but protected from the occasional night critters that wonder into the yard! Before bed, it's time to watch scary movies and tell ghost stories! All in all they had a blast! Thanks for looking! Have a great day!

PPA111 - What are the odds that the 111th challenge is close to the Sept 11th Anniversary? God Bless all the families affected and know that many of us who have never met, still keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

I wanted to do a patriotic card for this challenge and used the Land of the Free stamp set!
This cute paper & ribbon is from a 4th of July set found at the Target Dollar Spot! The stars were punched, glued and then embossed with the Square Lattice Folder. Rhinestones were added for extra sparkle. Thanks Margaret Moody for the fabulous sketch!

Miss August for Miss Abby!

Just had to share the great news that the photo above of my precious Puggy, Miss Abby, will be featured in the Kentuckiana Pug Rescue Calendar for 2012! Abby was rescued by a woman and when KPR Angel and volunteer Heather Harrold heard about her, she took her in and started caring for her. She was over-bred by breeders - after her last litter, Abby's uterus was prolapsed, she had ear mites, fleas, worms, she was missing some fir and the breeders dumped her. Heather then cared for her and featured her on the Pug Rescue Site- that's where I saw her and fell in love! Long story short...if that's possible for me.... my daughter bought a Pug while she was still living at home and I loved the breed, she moved out, took her Pug, Tank, with her and I would view the Pug Rescue Site now and again because I knew my house wasn't a home without a Puggy! Low and Behold, there she was, so cute and small and sweet! Heather and her fiance at the time drove Miss Abigale to my house to meet me and it was love at first sight! We've had her since February of 2010 and I can't imagine my life without her. She's the Queen of the Kindig house! AND now she'll be featured in the Pug Rescue Calendar!

I love making cards and also love to decorate the envelopes too! I'll be attending a shower this Sunday and the bride's colors are Red, Navy and Ivory. I used a Stampin' Up Set that has long been retired but I'm so glad that I kept it because we have 2-3 weddings each year! I use it each time and just change up the cardstock colors and glitter on the flowers! Ohhhhh and then there's the envelope! Ceramic Leaf

We feature all kinds of crafts and this is a beautiful ceramic leaf created by my brother in law, Dave Kindig. Dave has been a teacher in the Mishawaka School system for 30 years - still teaching and molding young minds and now clay! He recently decided to take a ceramics class and makes all kinds of masterpieces..... I just had to have one for myself! I have it displayed in my dining room for the Fall season. Thanks Dave! She's made with the Big Shot and the Top Note Die and then I embossed her with the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder and layered her on the adorable ghost paper from Frightful Night. I sponged some Perfect Plum around the edges. For her frightful mouth I used the Large Oval Punch and then added some paper flowers & a brad so she can be fashionable when she comes to your home! This is a fun card to make with the grandkids too. It's fun to play at the PPA! Thanks for looking.

I'm trying to get caught up with the scrapbooking so I can create some Halloween Cards.....did I just say Halloween??? Yes I did. The weather here in Northern Indiana has been cool for early September and I've started to get out the Fall Decorations!!! Ok, back to the scrapbooking.... Scrapbooking can be so easy! I just layered the scalloped edge paper on a light blue 12 x 12 sheet and applied the photos and added the embellishments and voila! It doesn't hurt to have the cutest granddaughter on the planet either! She makes scrapbooking fun! Miss Anna also has her box of embellishments in the craft room and she can create her own pages whenever she wants!

PPA108 - Soften the Edges

PPA108 - Life does get rough and I know all too well. Just recovered from passing a kidney stone last weekend and I'm glad that is over! I couldn't wait to get back in the craft room to make cards and scrapbook!

The edges of this card were softened with the Scallop Trim Corner Punch! I love the butterflies and they, too, have beautiful soft wings. I layered Concord Crush and Pear Pizzazz on Melon Mambo after stamping Thank You on the Whisper White. You could use any stamp that you wish. The butterflies have some bling with a rhinestone in each center. It's fun to play at the PPA! Thanks for looking!

PPA 107 - Margaret Moody Sketch

PPA -107, A Christmas in August card. It's never too early to start thinking about making Christmas cards and when I saw the PPA 107 Challenge- I immediately thought of a window pane and knew what I wanted to create!

The Lovely as a Tree Stamp Set is so versatile and can be used for many occasions. I stamped the trees and deer with Soft Suede on Very Vanilla and sponged the winter sun in the corner. There is a small amount of glitter in the grass around the trees and I gave Rudy a red nose rhinestone! The window was then cut and layered on Chocolate Chip and Real Red. I just love using non traditional colors for Christmas cards. For the valance I used a craft scissors and a the corner rounder punch. The sentiment was stamped and then punched and embellished with a Christmas Tree Brad.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the new Flirtatious Paper and Delicate Doilies Stamp Set! Ohhhhh, and the In Colors are amazing and you'll need to add those to your MUST HAVE list!

I started with Wisteria Wonder paper and stamped some doilies in the Wisteria Wonder Ink and added some contrast with Whisper White Ink. Squares with cut with the 1&1/4 inch square punch out of the Flirtatious Paper. The squares were layered on Whisper White and then embossed with the Finial Press Folder. Another doily was stamped in Pumpkin Pie Ink, punched out and applied to the front. This Oso birthday card is for my grand daughter, Anna. She just loves this cuddly bear and her 2nd birthday party will have Oso flair!

It takes three special steps to create this!

1. The Oso image is on the Disney Network website and it was downloaded and applied to Stampin' Ups Designer paper.

2. Anna's name was stamped with Tempting Turquoise and punched out.

Get your Crab on! Crabs are so popular this year- I've seen them on shorts, dish towels and now cards! I found this cutie on Raquel Mason's Stampin' Blog and just had to copy and add my own touches! The Stampin' Up punches work great to create this Crabby Creation!

The Water paper and Googly Eyes were purchased from Hobby Lobby- all 1/2 price and the shells were from the Sizzix Outlet that is online. Sand is created with Stampin' Up's Sahara Sand Paper and then torn, layered and sponged with Chocolate Chip Ink. The legs were made with a square punch and then cut along the 2 sides.

Independence Day honors the birthday of the United States of America and the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. It's a day of picnics and patriotic parades, a night of concerts and fireworks, and a reason to fly the American flag.

PPA100! Can you believe that there has been 100 challenges? Thanks to the PPA for making it possible!

My favorite technique is punching! Punching paper that is! I love to use punches to create fun and fabulous cards. I went a little crazy with the flower punch and layered them on paper using the Scallop Border punch. Happy Birthday is stamped with Stampin' Up's All Holidays set which will be retiring. Rose Red and Pixie Pink paper were used along with Rose Red Ink.

I enjoy looking at all the fun cards and visiting the blogs and have even made a few new Stampin' friends! Thanks again ladies for making the 100th PPA Challenge possible!

Jackie has been rocking out the cards for our upcoming booth at the Mishawaka Summerfest! This card was created with a guitar stamp purchased at a local Scrapbook Store called Pages in Time Forever. Whisper White and Basic Black card stock is used and the stars are cut with the Big Shot from some silver scrapbooking paper. The letters were also cut with the Big Shot.
It's fun to rock with the PPA!

PPA97- What's my style? Whimsical and fun! I do a lot of custom invites and these were one of my favorites to create! It's fun to play with paper and embellishments and then use digital resources and when you "marry" them - you'll get the best of both worlds!

Father's Day Card

Happy Father's Day to all those wonderful dads! This card is cute and easy to make.

I started with some royal blue paper purchased at Archivers. The Sahara Sand or creme color paper was embossed with the Square Lattice Folder. Chocolate Chip paper was then cut in a rectangle and layered on some striped paper that I previously purchased for scrapbooking. The collar is also from the same paper and cut in a rectangle then folded and brads were used to make it look like a button down collar! The tie was easy too- I just cut that myself without a pattern. Happy Father's Day is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set.

I just love to wrap gifts and think of creative & fun ways to embellish a package! I dressed up this Jackie's birthday present in Houndstooth Wrapping Paper. She loves the Paul Frank Monkey, Julius, and Julius Ribbon was 75% off at Target so I stocked up! I punched out some Real Red Paper circles and applied some sparkly letters and there you have it! I can't wait for her to open it! My baby will be 28 years old this year! Where did the time go? Happy Birthday Miss Jackie!

New Craft Table!

Staying organized can sometimes be a challenge. For a couple of years, I stamped and created my masterpieces on a folding table and at times it could be rather flimsy. I've searched and searched for an old library table and they were either too big, too small or too expensive. Well, I hit the jackpot a couple of weeks ago! At work we are updating our furniture and work spaces and an old table was ready to get pitched. The wooden top was damaged. I can imagine students who stayed up late to study probably got bored and started doodling and carving their names and perhaps answers to test questions on it! I asked if I could rescue it. My hubby picked it up and started refinishing the top. After filling in the scratches and a couple of sandings, he decided that it should be painted. I cleaned up the legs and drawers and then applied a light coat of wax. It's half painted and half natural and it works perfectly in the space!

I can't wait to use it tonight to make some cards and as always, there is plenty of scrapbooking to do!

PPA93- Wedding Card

PPA93- Spring is here and so is the Wedding Season! Spring is a time when the flowers are blooming and love is in the air! It's fun to make wedding and shower cards! I started with Basic Black and layered it with Whisper White that was embossed with a Sizzix Soft Swirls Embossing folder. The Ticket Corner Punch was used on the next layer of Basic Black. The Flower is from the Pretties Kit but Stampin' Up now has Paper Daisies and those would work just as well. I punched a small black circle and a big pearl was added to the flower and the Organza Ribbon also gives it a nice touch! The script on the "Congratulations" is so elegant! It's fun to play at the PPA!

Spring is here!

Tulips are popping up, trees are blooming and it's so beautiful to walk on the campus and smell all the fragrant flowers! This card reminds me of Spring! It's basic and easy to create! I used So Saffron as the card and Perfect Plum ink for the stamping! The other paper is from Target's Dollar Spot- yes, only a buck for a pack of perfectly matched flower paper that will make about a dozen cards!!! What a deal!! The adhesive jems were also from the dollar spot! I did use Stampin' Up's Square Lattice Embossing folder for some texture. Enjoy Spring and the beautiful colors and fragrance it brings!

Candy Cups and Door Prizes

My niece's wedding is just around the corner! She is having daisies as her flowers so I wanted a daisy theme for her bridal shower. I purchased some daisy soaps and seeds and knew that Stampin' Up had the perfect stamp for embellishing a cute topper for the gift bags. I also bought some hand soap and wrapped each in tissue paper and used my glue gun to apply the daisies. Now on to the candy holders! I have a Daisy Die and cut those with the Big Shot and bought some mini muffin wraps and applied them to the daisies! Won't those look so cute with some yellow and white M&M's? Family helped with the watering can candy holders....Thanks Kim and Joanne! I can't wait to fill those with some candy too!

Gals, remember years ago when Stampin' Up sold some weird cut Wild Wasabi cards for only $3.75 a pack? They were scored incorrectly and it works to your advantage with this card! I hope if you ordered those you didn't get rid of them because they come back to life with this cute stamp set featured in the Summer Mini called Hello Blossoms! So cute too and all you need is some different color Stampin' Write Markers, a scallop border punch and some Garden Green and you are good to go! Embellish with some ribbon and it's done! PPA91- Button Challenge

Button, Button, who has the button? I do! Just one to accent Stampin' Up's new Triple Layer Punch! Oh.... and it's a fun punch too! I layered the flower on the Fancy Flower Xtra Large Punch in Baja Breeze! This card is also a great way to use up scraps of your Designer Paper! I punched squares and then adhered them to plain white paper and used the Big Shot Top Die to create a quilted effect. I like the color combo of Concord Crush and the Certainly Celery- it's different but it works! It's fun to play at the PPA!

PPA89! My daughter Jackie created the flower centerpieces for a shower and then I added the watering can candy holders. We used the Scallop Punch to mount the stamped flowers and added Rhinestone Brads for the centers. The Scallop Punch was used again and then cut with a scissors to create "petals". It's fun to play at the PPA!

I'm finally getting through the Christmas pics of 2010! Lots of snow and hot chocolate, family gatherings and festive events marked a great ending to a wonderful year. Most of the paper is from the Martha Stewart Collection. The snowflake embellishments are so easy to create when you use the Snowflake #2 die and the snowflake punch- add a red rhinestone brad and you're done! Those are easy to use on cards too! I hope you like the layouts and feel free to use them when you scrapbook. They'll work for any season! Thanks for looking!

Children's Museum in Indianapolis

I had the honor and the pleasure of accompanying Amy and boys (my grandsons) to the Children's Museum in Indianapolis. We had a great time digging for dinosaur bones, exploring a construction site, viewing costumes from classic movies and of course....eating lunch! It was a great way to spend the day. The photos include Bumblebee from the movie Transformers! A fun day was had by all!

Princess Pigtails!

I can't wait to scrapbook these photos! Who is that naughty mommy putting bunny ears or devil horns on my sweet grand daughter? Anyhoo, had a busy day yesterday. Took the day off to help my youngest daughter get ready for her post-natal doctor appointment and had the honor of watching 5 week old Mason. He sure is a cutie! He loves to bounce and swing.....in your arms! Don't dare sit down or he'll let me know who is the boss....and it's not me!! He is smiling more and more and he'll try and talk to you too! He's adorable! After watching Mason and enjoying a lovely lunch from Panera....thank you Jackie...... I drove to pick up Miss Anna from Daycare and took her to the Dr. She had a double ear infection. Poor cutie pie! She has medicine now and should get better soon.

Jackie's New Car!

Jackie had some fun while Anna was checking out her aunt's new car! It was the perfect moment to capture the shenanigans and scrapbook it! The printed paper is from Target's Dollar spot and the beautiful solid shades of plum are from a local scrapbooking store. I made the embellishment from a sizzix die and the sparkly strips & picture corners are from Doodle Bug. Sizzix had a website that has an outlet and girls....... most of the stuff is marked 50-80% off! I got a really nice set of alphabet dies for only $19.99!!! I can't wait to use it! I'm getting caught up slowly but surely and will be making more cards soon!

I'm in scrapbooking heaven right now as I put pages together for the newest addition to our family! Welcome Mason! He was born on February 28th and is already a month old!
